Accessory Assassin

I have an obsession with accessories. If you know fashion, an outfit is not complete unless you have the needed accessories to go with it. Now for people who don't understand the skill of accessorizing, can most times OVER do it, which can take a good outfit down hill. Now accessories aren't just bags and jewelry, it includes shoes , belts, hats, scarves etc. But for now I will just be talking about shoes and bags.

Over the past few months I have been obsessing with TOMS, who's to say they don't go with almost any comfortable "laid back" occasion. I love all of them, but the glitters are my first choice.

Here's a pair that's on my wish list. Dorthy Inspired

Like any girl the bag she wears for the day is her "baby". It goes everywhere she goes, so of course it should make a statement and accent her properly for that day.

Saddle bags are my favorite especially when I am doing a lot of running around for the day. Plus they come in all shapes in sizes......oh and colors.

Here is a bag from Love Culture that is sure to turn heads as well as keep your things close by your side. Studded Saddle Bag

For the night life, going out with friends can be fun but like all girls I know it takes me forever to find out what I'm going to wear that night. So I try to find the most simplest things like a tank and a pair of skinny jeans, then I top it off with my accessories, taking my outfit from Dull to Darling.

My bag would be something small and chic sort of like this  Quilted Cross body

I love wedges especially in the fall time, booties go with just about anything. like these cheetah print ankle booties from Forever21. Then I'd add a necklace and earrings with a blazer since the fall is coming and I would be good to go.

Accessories does so much for an outfit.....but remember they are simply just an accent to the outfit. If you have big jewelry like a statement necklace and printed shoes or bag your outfit should be simple but chic.

In the meantime I will be putting together a contest, so stay tune to see what it is!

THRIFTED IT!!!

So I went thrifting and I found so much good stuff...However the ideal piece was my new friend rozie!!! A purse inspired by the heart shaped Bebe purse from the last season new arrivals. Any who the one that I found was made by Fredrick's the lingerie store. No I've never been the one to buy look alikes but I just couldn't pass it up it was only 4 bucks opposed to 60 for the Bebe version.

Here she is "Rozie" lol. I get so many complements on this bag! I bought this along with a few other things. I love it (I said that already). However those who are into thrifting completely understand!

In the meantime have a wonder day!!!

Hair Cents

Hey guys.. I have a review for you on a few items. I've been trying a few products for natural hair. I have been transitioning for about 2 months (Its sooo hard). I was on Youtube and I saw a few styles I wanted to try out on my hair (Bantu knots and Flat twist). Sad to say neither turned out the way I wanted so I've been wearing two goddess braids, and I love them. The products I used areOlive Oil Edge Control, which does what it says! I absolutely love this product. Its really stiff and it holds for a pretty long time. I do this style while my hair is wet. I apply another product calledShea Moisture (the coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie) it smells amazing! However when I did my flat twist it left my hair really oily and stiff. I didn't like it and my bantu knots really didn't curl! But I learned that I can't use a lot of it...just about the size of a nickle will do the trick.....for me at least! It keeps my hair really soft and glossy. I bought both of the products at Walgreens, the Curl Smoothie was 9.99 and Edge Control was about 4.99.

I also took a trip to Five Below. I LOVE THIS STORE! All of their items are no more the five dollars! Now... I know that I could have easily went to the Beauty Supply and bought nail polish for a buck; but I found the perfect pink, a crackle and a glitter polish. This pink polish is kind barbie but 1 shade darker, it's really cute. By the way did I say it was 3 for $5.00. Most of these products regular price would have been more. Any who, the crackle is green with sparkle and it really cracks. I've bought some crackle polishes in the past and the the polish never cracked. Even after hours of letting my base color dry. Last but not least the glitter polish it really nice it has colors like green, silver, pink and purple in it.  I haven't worn it yet but it sure is next! All the info and photos will be a the bottom. If you have a Five Below in your town......PLEASE VISIT IT!

In the mean time, enjoy the last few weeks of summer!

Summer Time Fun

...The summer is slowly ending. It has been a pretty hot summer so shorts, "fly away" tanks, tie up belly tops were a few things worn too keep cool. However there were a few accessories I couldn't leave the house without.

I bought these sunglasses at Plato's Closet a few months ago and I absolutely love them.

I also bought a pair of levi pants that were too short, so I made them shorter... They turned out pretty good too. I love them and get many complements on them, I normally wear them with sandals or punkin seeds with a cropped tee or tank.
I also wear this green bag everywhere, mainly if I'm just running errands or going to work. It holds everything I need. I've had it for almost 2 years now.
