NYX Cosmetics MINI Haul: Items under 10$

Hey Ladies,

So here it is my first haul post. It's more of a mini haul-- but it's my first. Any who, I've recently purchased and received a few must needed items from NYX Cosmetics.

Seeing as how they had a free shipping deal when you purchase $25.00 or more, I was sold and bought all the new stuff.

First, Butter Lip Balm. OMG! This lip balm is the BOMB! I completely fell in love--the way it makes my lips soft, it's amazing. I have the color "ladyfingers" the color is so pretty on. It gives a light pink tint, which looks great under my next product.

So the next product is similar to the lip balm, but it's the lip gloss. This is the perfect and inexpensive lip gloss. It's just enough tint to give you pretty pink lips but it isn't so pigmented that it only goes with a certain skin tone. This lippie will look great with ever skin tone. 

I have the color "Vanilla Creme Pie" 

This is also a Mauve tint, and the lip balm above is the perfect base for this gloss. You lips will be soft. My only dislike about this product is that it doesn't last all day, you will have to keep applying but that is normal for most lip glosses. 

Next, for the face--The Concealer Wand. So I orginally bought this for my under eye highlight, but sadly I was too light and I didn't like how bright it made me. So, I use it to clean up under my brow, after I fill them in. The product is very easy to work with and serves as a great beginner concealer, for makeup newbies. Plus it was only $5.00! That's why I love NYX, they work with my poor college student budget. :)

Finally. . . Eyes. So the last two products I got, was the "auto eyebrow pencil" and a eye shadow palette in "Natural." The brow pencil does exactly what it's called. If you know how to use it then you're set.

As far as for the palette, I love it. It's all matte colors with maybe 2 shimmer colors (soft shimmer). The colors are very pigmented as well and I would also recommend this palette for a beginner. It's perfect for every skin tone and has the perfect neutral tones.

None of these products were over $10! For the price I paid for each item, they turned out a better quality than I expected--especially the shadow palette. Since this was my first time ordering from NYX, they sent me a free gift which was a powder puff. I like it...it gives a very flawless finish.

Top Five V-Day Datenight Look Ideas

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. For those of you lucky ladies who are anticipating plans but have no idea what to wear. Here are five Looks to choose from or even combine.

First the Classic Chic look

Now I live in Michigan, so sweaters are necessary! Pair a nice knit sweater with a pair of jeans will never do you wrong. Now you can do with a boyfriend jean and a cropped sweater to make a girly twist, or what I've done here. This is an acid wash skinny with an over sized copper/peanut butter hue sweater.

I love to color block so BOOM! Royal Blue Shoes and bag to pull it all together. Add some gold accessories and you have your look.

Look #2 Girly Glam

Girls just want to have fun. . . right? I'd think so. This look is so perfect for that first date look. It's really trendy too. I've paired the famous leather skater skirt with thigh high socks. A basic white long-sleeve tee, making it a blank canvas for a awesome jacket and bag. The right make up and hair will make this look complete

Tip: A red lip would be perfect and eye catching. He'll love it!

Look #3 Comfy Cozy

So some of us, we like to stay in. All we need is our bf, Netflix, dinner and candy. . . right? Well just because your staying in doesn't mean PJ's are the only option. You can be just as cute as cozy. Your favorite sweatshirt and leggings, Fuzzy Socks, and a messy bun. OH YES!!! He'll see you made an effort for you look even though you guys are just staying.

Tip: Cute bra and pantie set underneath if things get hot. . . ;) *still be safe

Look #4 Boyish Glam

In this look. . . it's more glam than boyish. But!! The boyish twist is something of his. Steal his favorite team jersey (or his jersey), his favorite tee, band, NFL team etc. He may be mad for a little, but once he sees how cute you look in something of his, he'll get over it for sure. A pair of high waist jeans, matchy-matchy bag and shoes and a bold blazer, will certainly add that girl glam flare. A simple straight back pony and simple face will also make showcase your natural beauty. 

Tip: Enhance your best features. 

Look #5 Simple and Sexy 

You can never go wrong with a little black dress. 

Tip: What is his favorite fragrance that you wear? Yes...wear that, he'll stick to you like glue!
